update August 15, 2008: The project The Forgotten Millwright, Isaiah Linton (1739-1775), by Terry Louis Linton © 1986. As requested, we are working on making available to Members, the second printing of this book. It will be in soft bound copy. It will include the original pictures with new pictures and illustrations and index added. The reprint will be available to members in two months. This 1986 brief historical sketch of Quaker Master Millwright Isaiah Linton (1739-1775) was the results of 18 years of research on Isaiah Linton, from 1968 to 1986. This work became the bases of the following published articles on Isaiah Linton: The Forgotten Millwright, Isaiah Linton (1739-1775), (Terry L. Linton, © 1987.) Project update August 15, 2008: Linton Family History (Descendants of Sir Arthur Linton (1614-1662)  by Terry Louis Linton, © 1989. As requested, we are working on making available to Members, at cost plus shipping, a new reprint of this work . This will be the second printing of this Linton Research Fund Inc., Publication © 1989. It was originally printed in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Sir Arthur Linton was born, in 1614, in Linton Holmes, Parish Carlisle, County Cumbria, (now Cumberland), England. Arthur died in 1662, in Linton Holmes, Parish Lowe Crosby, County Cumberland, England. John Linton (1662-1709), "the emigrate," was Arthur’s grandson. According to John W. Jordan’s, 1911, Colonial Revolutionary Families of Pennsylvania, "John Linton was a Quaker Minister, closely associated with William Penn, both in England and Pennsylvania. Both were members of the Longnewton Friends Monthly Meeting House in London and sailed tegether on board the Canterbury." Arthur Linton was the 7th great-grandfather of Kirk Louis Linton (1914-1987).

Project Update:  August 15, 2008; Isaiah Linton (1739-1775) Quaker Master Millwright of Bucks County Pennsylvania and Baltimore & Harford Counties Maryland (Ancestors & Descendants). This is a work in progress and is being worked on daily. Isaiah Linton was the 3rd great-grandfather of Kirk Louis Linton (1914-1987) and the 7th great-grandson of Arthur Linton (1614-1662) of Linton Holmes, Lowe Crosby, Parish Carlisle, County Cumberland, England. Isaiah was the 24th great-grandson of Lord Gualter I de Sémerville of Somme Valley, near Evreux and Graveron, Parish Sémerville in Nord (now Normandy, France). Project update August 15, 2008: John Edward Linton (1838-1901) & Sallie Fenmor Stonestreet (1861-1926) (Father & Mother of John Edward Linton, Jr., 1889-1889 and Charles Edward Linton 1890-1958). We are currently updating this project from our old hand written notes and from the Journal of Annie Lucretia Cronk Linton, Kirk Louis Linton's mother, on a daily basis. Members can see this reversion work in progress. Project update August 15, 2008: Charles Edward Linton 1890-1958 & Annie Lucretia Cronk 1888-1956 (Father and Mother of John Edward Charles Linton 1910-1911; Florence Avis Linton 1912-1990; Kirk Louis Linton 1914-1987; Georganna Linton 1916-1916; Theodore Francis Linton 1917-1970; Bernadette Thelma Linton; Madeline Elizabeth Linton 1922-1991). We are working daily on updating this project from our old hand written notes and from the Journal of his wife, Annie Lucretia Cronk Linton. Members can see and take part in this work in progress.
